January 2020 – Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay team led by Dominic Egger, the General Manager attended a fundraising activity arranged by Phuket Tourist Association to support and help Australia wildfire crisis on a Saturday, 18th January at Bang Ward Dam, Phuket.
Since July 2019, Australia is facing the worst wildfires seen in decades, with large swaths of the country devastated. Unfortunately, it is only about halfway through Australia summer season and normally the temperatures peaks in January and February, meaning it could be months away from finding relief.
To support the Australia crisis, the Phuket Tourist Association and partners have raised THB 909,999 and the cheque has been donated to the Red Cross disaster, relief and recovery Australia.
