In All Business Group Joining Forces to Organize the Event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019”,

Assembling Entrepreneurs for Business Network Creation throughout 4 Days

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) in collaboration with Business Events Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Bangkok), MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), Thai Elderly Promotion & Health Care Association, Thai Caregivers Association, and leading corporates in the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly in all business groups, organizes “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019 : International Trade Exhibition for Quality Senior Lifestyle” under the concept of “a fair for people you care”, to gather innovations and technologies from upstream to downstream of the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly in the event, with objectives to create a network of business operations throughout 4 days of the event and to promote the policy of being International Health Center or Medical Hub, this event shall be held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Hall EH 103, from 29 August – 1 September 2019.

Bangkok – Mr. Suwanchai Lohawatanakul, Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), said that The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) has the main mission to promote Small and Medium Enterprises for a substantially growth. OSMEP has supported the event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019 : International Trade Exhibition for Quality Senior Lifestyle” under the concept of “a fair for people you care” to promote the business matching and to find new marketing channels for entrepreneurs participating in the event to look for new innovations, this event is not only an event that gathers innovations related to the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly, but also an event that all visitors can receive knowledge, consultancy on finance and investment, human resource management, business plan creation, business management that is consistent with the elderly service business in order to adjust the business to be in line with the market situation. In this event, OSMEP invites Thai SMEs to participate in exhibiting their products and services to illustrate the potential of Thai entrepreneurs, and negotiate the trade with Japanese entrepreneur group of products and services for the elderly as well, to create more value in the future.

Mr. Chairatpathom Isarasakdi Na Ayudhya, Managing Director of Business Events Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that the trend of the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly is continuously growing with the development of service model covering from developing basic services of healthcare to providing integrated services, creating standards of personnel and having an effective management system, those are important factors to make entrepreneurs in this industry successful. According to the 3rd Asia Pacific Silver Economy Business Opportunities Report that was launched during the opening of the 6th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum, Singapore in 2015, it mentioned that by 2020, Asia Pacific’s ageing market is projected to reach US$3.3 Trillion, and Thailand’s ageing market shall grow 7-8 % in 2018 with a total market value of 10,000 Million Baht.

The event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019 : International Trade Exhibition for Quality Senior Lifestyle” under the concept of “a fair for people you care”, is supported by government agencies and leading business organizations such as Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Bangkok), MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), SCG Cement and Construction Product Business which has introduced a system for healthcare and safety (DoCare Protect) with IoT sensors and Care Center with a professional hospital network to assist 24 hours a day, Aritco (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which is a home elevator service provider, C.M. Commercial Co., Ltd. which is a consulting service provider on the management of shower chair innovation, Extreme Co., Ltd. which is a service provider of integrated equipment to support the use in hospitals; and collaborated by Thai Elderly Promotion & Health Care Association and Thai Caregivers Association.

There are 5 categories of products that are exhibited in the event, consisting of: 1) Living Standards including developers of smart home project, Interior decoration, home design concepts for the elderly, tracking technology & equipment; 2) Food / Beverage & Clothing covering clean food / organic food; 3.Medical Care & Support from hospitals, elderly care centers, home use medical device; 4) Finance & Investment regarding the consultancy on asset management, residential mortgage, life insurance, retirement program; and 5) Leisure regarding the care and support for leisure activities including hotels / resorts, car rental service, fitness equipment, etc., the event aims to look for investment opportunities in the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly for the co-creation of business network to be in line with the government’s Smart City development plan and to support the policy of Medical Hub.

Mr. Kematat Paladesh, President of MCOT Public Company Limited, said that the support on the event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019” is one of MCOT’s strategies in finding partners to create new business opportunities. This event is considered as an event that gathers both Thai and foreign entrepreneurs to exhibit their products, services and technologies to prepare our country for the elderly society, to connect for continuing and expanding business values for manufacturers, providers of services, technologies, applications and solutions, to support the elderly society industry in Thailand and in the Southeast Asian region for living with good quality in every dimension, even though being the elderly, and we believe that many good contents will be created to benefit the manufacturing and service industries of the elderly.

Dr. Chanat Kruthakun, President of the Thai Elderly Promotion & Health Care Association, said that the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly are related to many businesses including businesses of elderly care, elderly life insurance, medical treatment, rehabilitation of health and beauty surgery, residences, and these businesses lack knowledgeable personnel. In the event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019”, the Association is confident that it will expand this industry, and the Association’s members who exhibit products in the event and attend the event shall gain knowledge and apply the new knowledge to develop the elderly service business. In addition, the event will allow relevant government agencies to jointly and continuously support the industry in the following years.

Dr. Sukree Samanthai, President of the Thai Caregivers Association (TCA), said that the event “CARE EXPO Thailand 2019” will benefit the caregivers of the elderly because it is a platform for entrepreneurs involved in the manufacturing and service industries for the elderly to exchange academic knowledge, resulting in the cooperation and coordination with government agencies and private corporations both domestically and internationally, to support the caregiving of the elderly to have standards in providing correct and suitable services, this shall further benefit the career of members and the society as a whole.

Mr. Chairatpathom gave additional information that in the event, there are also seminars for business knowledge in order to develop the potential of entrepreneurs and society, for example, caregiving for the elderly and caregivers of the elderly in Thailand 4.0, Universal Design with sustainable housing project development, insights of outstanding funds for investment planning to support after retirement, and funds for the elderly, Top 10 outstanding stocks for long-term investment for getting rich after retirement, with the focus on the public’s understanding and realization in preparing themselves from the age of 30 years or older before entering into the elderly society in the future, as well as understanding and learning how to take care the elderly members in the family. It is expected that there will be more than 20,000 visitors, consisting of buyers and purchasers, government agencies and state enterprises, including Ministries, Departments, Provincial Administrative Organizations, Sub-district Administrative Organizations, Municipalities, leading organizations in every industry, etc.
